About Ferndale Goats

Established in Southern New South Wales, Ferndale Goats is a small rural stud specialising in the breeding and showing of Nigerian Dwarf goats. Located in the Southern NSW wheat belt, our goats are raised on our family property where they are an important part of everyday farm life.
 
Our journey with Nigerian Dwarfs began in 2020 with the purchase of our first goats, including the foundation doe Zodiac Satine. Not long after entering the show ring, Satine achieved her Australian Goat Breeders Inc. title of Aus. Ch. and has since gone on to become a Supreme Grand Champion. Her success helped shape the direction of our stud and our passion for breeding quality Nigerian Dwarf goats with excellent conformation, dairy ability and temperament.
 
At Ferndale, we are passionate about promoting the versatility of Nigerian Dwarf goats both in and out of the show ring. Alongside our showing and breeding program, our goats are milked regularly for home use, providing fresh milk that we enjoy ourselves and use to create handmade cheeses and soaps.
 
We strive to breed healthy, friendly and functional goats that are well suited to family farms, dairy homes and showing alike. Our herd combines strong bloodlines, quality genetics and practical dairy traits, while maintaining the friendly nature Nigerian Dwarfs are loved for.
 
Ferndale Goats has already enjoyed considerable success in the show ring through Australian Goat Breeders Inc. competitions and agricultural shows. Highlights include Aus Ch Ferndale Brigitta being awarded Australian Goat Breeders Inc. Goat of the Year 2026, along with Ferndale Goats receiving Runner-Up Breeder of the Year and Runner-Up Exhibitor of the Year awards. These achievements reflect our ongoing commitment to quality breeding, presentation and the continual improvement of our herd.
 
Through our involvement with Australian Goat Breeders Inc., agricultural shows and the wider miniature goat community, we continue to enjoy learning, improving and sharing our passion for Nigerian Dwarf goats with others.
